'references' v. 'reflist'[]
Is there any difference / preference between <references/> tag and {{reflist}} template? Is [1] correct? -- Karol007 (talk) 23:23, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
- Honestly I'm not sure if and when we'll need to use {{Reflist}} as anything other than a way to directly call <references/>. In my mind it's preferred, if only because it's easier to type ;) A bot can always correct any undesired uses should it ever come to matter. -- Taohinton (talk) 11:45, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
- Argh, I'm not sure which one you mean by it's preferred, sorry. I think you mean 'reflist'. Thank you for the explanation, but can you please post 'use foo', so we're on the same page?
- I've noticed the preview tab of the wiki editor (sorry, don't know what's the proper name) prints
Cite error: <ref> tags exist, but no <references/> tag was found
- but keeps quiet even if I use 'reflist'.
- I'm using vim for typing, and I can even post e.g.
==References== {{reflist}}
