Modify Hero Power[]

Hm, I wrote a long essay about how I disagreed with calling this "Modify Hero Power" when it really reacts to the Restore health effect and doesn't give a crap about whether it came from a Hero Power or not. But I re-read the ability and realize it does specifically mention powers. Honestly I think that's a result of Early Installment Weirdness where they were worried about people not understanding the rules, and if they were to write the card now they would've said it more like "Your effects that restore Health deal damage instead." But the text is the text, so I guess Hero Power-related it is.

However, with the expansion coming, it's not a bad idea to ask if we ought not to differentiate between passive, temporary modifications to Hero Powers, and permanent ones. I supposed the permanent ones could be called Replace Hero Power instead... - jerodast (talk) 20:52, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Aaaaaand then we're going to differentiate between buffs and debuffs e.g. whether you gain or lose Health / Attack ;P
It already says 'Ongoing effect', so in this case I'd keep the existing tags / Abilities. -- Karol007 (talk) 22:39, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
Hah, well, I wouldn't really see a problem with having a different tag for those two things, although for starters maybe we could just have the one - at the moment we don't even tag that a buff OR debuff exists at all, which is kind of weird.
Regardless, Replacement Hero Powers actually have much more significant differences. I'm switching over to the Hero Power talk page so we can have a more centralized location to discuss the issue. - jerodast (talk) 23:30, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
