Warning: there is more than one data page for cards with this name.
Please identify which of these data pages are for the card this page is supposed to cover.
Data:Cards/Stranglethorn Tiger(338), Data:Cards/Stranglethorn Tiger(464811), Data:Cards/Stranglethorn Tiger(475197)
Once it is identified, please edit this page and use the |datapage
parameter on {{Card infobox}} to ensure data is pulled from the correct page.
As an example, if the correct data page is Data:Cards/Barrel(376)
, then this page would need {{Card infobox|datapage=Barrel(376)}}
to ensure it finds the correct page.

The wonderful thing about tigers is tigers are wonderful things!
Stranglethorn Tiger is a common neutral minion card, from the Classic set.
How to get
Stranglethorn Tiger can be obtained through Classic card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward.
Card | Crafting cost | Disenchanting |
---|---|---|
Stranglethorn Tiger | 40 | 5 |
Golden Stranglethorn Tiger | 400 | 50 |
Strategy
Stranglethorn Tiger can be used in hunter or druid decks to take advantage of Beast synergy. The combination of Stealth and high health give the Tiger good chances to survive until your next turn to take advantage of combo pieces, like Houndmaster or Druid of the Fang.
Buffing a stealthed minion can provide a large advantage for the player since it can only be targeted by AoE or randomly directed damage effects.
Lore
Stranglethorn Tigers are hostile mobs found in Northern Stranglethorn, a vast jungle south of Duskwood in the Eastern Kingdoms. Northern Stranglethorn is part of Stranglethorn Vale, which is also the setting for one of Hearthstone's battlefields.
