- Because Deathrattles do not activate until after all destroyed minions have been removed from the board, the Spawn will only grant its buff to minions left on the board after its death. However, it can save minions that have been mortally wounded during the same death resolution phase, such as from the simultaneously activated Deathrattle of a
Death's Bite.
