Radiance is a priest spell card, inducted into the Legacy set, formerly from the Basic set.

How to get[]

Two copies of regular and golden Radiance are automatically given after the player completes the Ranked's New player experience system, unlocking Wild and Classic format.

They are uncraftable and cannot be crafted or disenchanted.

Previous availability[]

Prior Year of the Gryphon's rotation on March 30, 2021:

  • Two copies of Radiance were automatically included in all players' collections upon unlocking the priest class.
  • Two Golden copies of Radiance were a reward for raising a priest to levels 15 and 20.

Strategy[]

Journal.pngPlease add any available information to this section.

Five health for one mana is not worth the card slot. The Priest can leverage the low cost using cards like Lightwarden or Gadgetzan Auctioneer for extra benefits with the spell.

In Wild, this card is almost strictly inferior to Flash Heal, except in extreme fringe cases with cards like Archmage Vargoth or Mayor Noggenfogger, and is usually worse than Binding Heal.

Trivia[]

  • Radiance was added to the Basic set in patch 14.6.0.31761 to make up for the fact that the priest class would otherwise have one less card available in Standard format due to Mind Blast being moved to the Wild format in the Hall of Fame set.[1]
    • The effect is almost an exact inverse of Mind Blast, with the only difference being the lower mana cost.
  • Radiance was designed with the intent of giving priests a low-cost spell that can be used for tricky spell synergies while also providing a powerful baseline heal for the class.[1]
  • The flavor text is a reference to L'Oréal's slogan.
