Khadgar is a legendary mage minion card, from the Rise of Shadows set.

How to get

Khadgar can be obtained through Rise of Shadows card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward.

Notes

Whenever a minion is summoned without having been played, Khadgar will create a copy of the minion(s). This includes the one-health-remaining minion summoned by Reborn.
Despite the card text, the effect also works from opponent's cards that summon minions on your board, such as Dirty Rat and Hecklebot.^[1]
If a minion is recruited, Khadgar won't recruit another copy, instead it will summon an extra copy of the minion.^[2]
Khadgar will not create copies of minions summoned via an Invoke effect (From Galakrond, the Tempest and Galakrond, the Wretched).

Strategy

Khadgar's low mana cost, in addition to his acceptable stats, allows him to be both played early against aggressive decks and to work with combos in late-game against slower decks. Mage has access to a plethora of minion-summoning effects, in addition to access to all neutral minion-summoning effects; this potentially enables wide range of uses for him.

Khadgar is perhaps the most accomplished of all living wizards and one of the most powerful magi in Azerothian history. He was an apprentice to the Guardian Medivh, until he helped defeat his possessed master. Though cursed with frailty and age, Khadgar nevertheless has been an exemplar for the Alliance, destroying the Dark Portal in the Second War, leading the Alliance Expedition to Draenor, and counterattacking against the Burning Legion and all who would threaten his world with annihilation.

While a hero of the Alliance, Khadgar is willing to work with the Horde for the greater good of Azeroth. As a member of the Council of Six, Khadgar hopes to drive the politics out of the Kirin Tor, and has been known to clash with the more partisan members of the council.
