Generated spells[]
The Potions generated by Kabal Chemist are any of the collectible spells from the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan set that have the word "potion" in the name.[1] The Kabal Chemist may generate any of the possible Potions for the player, regardless of their class.
There are 10 possible Potions, giving a 10% chance of gaining any given spell:
Previous bugs[]
- There was previously a bug that prevented Kabal Chemist from generating the Dragonfire Potion.[2] The bug was fixed in late January.[3]
Strategy[]
Kabal Chemist has a mediocre stats for its mana cost, putting most of its strength in its Battlecry. Many of the generated potions are extraordinarily powerful (although a few are less desirable), but suffer from a wide range of effects. The extreme randomness makes Kabal Chemist best when played proactively, letting you save the potion for when you need it, regardless of what you got.
Since only one of the possible cards offered by Kabal Chemist is a Secret, if your opponent plays a Secret that was generated by Kabal Chemist (you can check the history for how a card was generated) then you know precisely what it is: Potion of Polymorph.
Quotes[]
- Summon
- Drink the power.
