Giantfin is original to Hearthstone.

If Old Murk-Eye is played during the Giantfin encounter, Giantfin responds "Middlefin, what are you doing here?" This suggests familiarity, possibly even a familial relationship between the two; note the scale of Tinyfin, Middlefin, Giantfin and possibly even Megafin.

In World of Warcraft

Giantfin later appeared in World of Warcraft as an elite mob, during the Un'Goro Madness micro-holiday. Like the other elites, he possessed the ability to gain various "Adapations" granting him special buffs, and dropped a "Dino Mojo" consumable upon death. His abilities included summoning an army of murlocs to defend him.

Trivia[]

Giantfin was the first original Hearthstone character to appear as a boss in World of Warcraft, and only the third in total to appear in the game, following Sir Finley Mrrgglton and Morgl the Oracle.
