Forge is a mechanic introduced in TITANS. Cards with Forge can be dragged into the player's deck to spend 2 mana and give it additional effects. When the player holds a Forge card, the deck will feature a glowing orange anvil to visually note that the player can drag into it to forge.

Forge cards are represented by an anvil icon below the mana display on the card frame, which is also the place for Tradeable and tri-class icons.

Notes[]

Visual for the opponent when a player forges a card.

Visual for the opponent when a player forges a card.

  • Forging a card does not count as playing a card.
  • Forging a card does not shuffle it into the deck. It is immediately added back to the player's hand.
    • The card is returned to the same spot in the hand.
  • Forging always costs 2 mana, but the effects vary by card.[1]
  • Once a card is forged, it transforms into its Forged version permanently and cannot be transformed back into its un-Forged version.
    • Forging can be done on a previous turn, to then play the Forged version on a later turn.
  • As with all in-hand upgrade mechanics (e.g. Infuse and Corrupt), Forge cards keep any in-hand enchantments when Forged.
  • It is not revealed to the opponent which card is forged. The opponent only sees that a card was forged, but it is not specified which one.
    • This is indicated by a history tile and a pop-up similar to that of Secrets.
    • The pop-up card costs 2 mana to indicate that forging a card costs that amount. It uses a new Forge colors for its border, which is simply a stylistic choice and is not a new class. It's very similar to class colors used by shaman.
