Strategy[edit | edit source]
Drain Souls serves as a early-game source single-target removal and healing - something highly valued by Warlocks. Because this card uses Lifesteal both the damage and healing is increased by Spell Damage.
It serves as an almost direct upgrade to Drain Life, the only minor downside compared to it being that this card cannot target heroes.
Lore[edit | edit source]
Similar to its Hearthstone counterpart, World of Warcraft' Drain Life deals damage over time and heals the warlock for the damage done.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The artwork for this card comes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game "War of the Ancients" series, for the card Soul Trap.
- Drain Soul has exactly the same effect as Penance; the only differences between them is the class and the spell school.
