Archimonde is the fifth boss in Mage's Book of Heroes adventure.

  • Boss always has 1-2 mana minions in his starting hand and always draws LegacyVoidwalker on turn 1.
  • The player always draws the cards on first six turn in next order - Rise of ShadowsRay of Frost, LegacyFrostbolt, Saviors of UldumFlame Ward, LegacyFireball, LegacyBlizzard, LegacyFrost Nova.
    • If any of these spells were got on mulligan, the player will draw a random card instead on respective turn. The spells above may be one of these randomly drawed cards which leads to another random draw on turns 1-6 accordingly.
  • Boss is programmed to give preference to playing cards for 5+ mana, despite that they are all weaker than two minions 6/6 from his hero power.
  • The battle ends with the player winning when Archimonde's health reaches 10 or less.

Archimonde was one of the three leaders of the eredar, ruling his people on Argus alongside Kil'jaeden and Velen in peace and harmony. He eagerly joined the fallen titan Hero SkinsSargeras who promised them knowledge, power and, most importantly, the answer to the question "what is the one underlying flaw of the universe?", in exchange for loyalty. While most eredar, a knowledge-seeking race, joined the Burning Crusade because of their thirst for knowledge, Archimonde joined Sargeras for power.
He loyally served his master and the Burning Legion for thousands of years, though he was defeated during the Third War by the mortal armies. Sargeras' right hand, he was heartless, brutal, cunning and far sighted. The colossal demon wielded limitless fel magics and primal strength to lay waste to any who would oppose his fiery will, and had destroyed countless worlds. In his heart of hearts, he sought to become a god and wield powers that rivaled those of Sargeras himself. He was described as powerful, elegant, smooth, and intelligent.
